Formatting and Guidelines

To make your life a little easier, here are basic guidelines you should follow to increase the chances of your submission to be accepted:

• When separating steps, use H2 tags.  This will allow our readers to quickly find exactly what they’re looking for.
• Images should be no larger than 600px wide, however, you can link to a larger image if necessary.
• All files used in your article must be submitted with the article itself (large images, videos, pdf’s, etc.)
• Please write the main article in HTML or simply in a text file with references to slides.
• In the notes field of the submission form, please indicate the asking price for the tutorial that you are willing to accept.

For your submission to be accepted:

• You guarantee that all submitted material belongs to you and you own the copyrights to the article
• You allow TutsArena unique rights to your article, meaning you will not, and have not, published the article on any other website.
• You allow us the right to edit your submission as we deem necessary.
• You allow our readers to make derivative works from the examples in the article without citing you, your web sites or TutsArena
• Not all tutorials will be accepted.  We aim to provide unique or “value added” articles for our readers, for a better chance at being accepted, think outside the box!
• Your submission should be organized into a .zip file with all necessary files and an HTML or text document containing the article.
• Please use your own work in your articles, otherwise, properly cite and link to the source, where possible.
• Tutorial authors are paid two weeks after their article is published. If we get any plagiarism reports we will take down the article and the author will not get paid. This is decided solely at our discretion and you agree that our decisions are final.
• Finally, if your tutorial is accepted, you will receive an email regarding the price we are willing to pay for your article, your personal information for your “About the Author” bio and any URL’s you’d like to be linked to. At this stage, we will also ask you for your Paypal information. We will only payout via Paypal because it is fast, easy and safe.
